It finally came! After almost three years of going to night-school, part-time, at Virginia Commonwealth University(VCU) in Richmond, Virginia, my Master of Arts in English Diploma finally arrived in the mail today! I graduated in December 2015. It’s official now, and I can prove that I did it! ( see it in the picture). My transcripts also came yesterday. I finished with a 3.70 GPA. That’s not bad since the last time I attended graduate school was about 1987, when I received a Doctorate Degree in Education from Virginia Tech.
My MA in English Thesis, which I will write about in future posts, is on Edgar Allan Poe and Science. Thanks to my family and friends for their support. Also, thanks to my VCU Committee Advisors: Professors: Marcel Cornis-Pope, Joshua Eckhardt, Anthony B. Mangum, and Karen Rader.
